Good Summer Fishing!

Report Date: July 23, 2018

Summer fishing has been very good this year. Offshore, we've had some really nice catches of mahi mahi. It slowed a bit today due to a westerly breeze but should pick right up as soon as the winds shift back to an easterly quadrant. The fish have been hanging around large mats of sargassum. The only difficult part has been figuring out which patches hold fish. Birds have been largely missing from the equation lately.

Closer to shore we've been catching a mixed bag of tuna, kingfish, sharks, and assorted bottom fish like snapper, grouper, and a variety of jacks.

Although I have no open dates in July, I still have plenty of dates open during August. We'll be targeting more mahi and snapper during August and I expect the fishing to remain very good. I will try to post another report very soon. Sorry for the delay between reports.

Tight Lines,

Capt. O
