Miami's Fishing Guide - Captain Orly

Captain 'Orly' Muniz, founder of Nomad Fishing Charters Miami, discovered his passion for fishing at an early age. Growing up in Miami provided him ample opportunities to pursue his love for angling, working his way up from shore fishing to mastering various techniques.

Starting with shore fishing for diverse species, Captain Orly later expanded to party boat fishing, encountering kingfish and mahi-mahi. In the early 90s, he learned live bait and kite fishing for sailfish, tuna, and wahoo. This experience inspired him to become one of the best fishing guides in Miami.

After graduating from Barry University with an education degree, Captain Orly earned his captain's license in 2006 and established Nomad Fishing Charters in Miami. His mission has always been to provide clients with exceptional fishing experiences, regardless of their skill level. As one of the top fishing guides in Miami, Captain Orly combines his teaching background with extensive fishing knowledge to educate clients about local fisheries and techniques.

Our Fishing Boat & Tackle

Nomad, our custom-built 28' Whitewater open fisherman, is powered by new 2024 Twin Suzuki 200 HP outboards. This "Key West Style" boat is designed for light tackle sport fishing in Miami waters, featuring a 250-gallon fuel capacity for extended range.

Our boat is equipped with numerous rod holders and quality gear from Daiwa, Shimano, and Shakespeare, suitable for various target species. All outfits use premium line and top-of-the-line terminal tackle to ensure you land your fish of a lifetime.

Two large livewells provide ample live bait storage, while a spacious fish box keeps your catch fresh. The boat also features high-quality electronics from Garmin, Icom, and Clarion, along with all required Coast Guard safety equipment.
