Wow! It's hard to believe that November has come and gone. Our month started off a bit slow but ended strong with some really good and varied catches. Even though the conditions haven't been optimal, the fishing has been pretty darn good. On most trips we've ended with a mixed bag consisting of kingfish, mahi, wahoo, snapper, mackerel, and sailfish. The biggest surprise were the two wahoo we caught in the 30-40 pound range. The first hit a trolled bait and the second and larger fish ate a live goggle eye fished under a kite.
Although the sailfish action hasn't been red hot, we did manage to catch 2 on our last trip. The conditions have been steadily improving with each passing cold front and I would expect more and more fish to start pushing south into our area. A lot baitfish are also starting show and the fish have been active tracking them down.
We are scheduled to fish tomorrow, and pulling the boat out of the water Mondayfor some maintenance and upgrades. I am hoping to get everything buttoned up in roughly 10 days so that we are ready for the holiday and end of the year rush.
Speaking of the end of the year, we still have a few dates available. The weather will be cool and the fishing hot. Every year I have people calling at the last minute only to learn that I am already booked (don't be that guy or girl).
Well, that is pretty much it for right now. I hope that everyone has a great December spending time with family and friends. Remember that you can keep up with all of the action by following us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or even YouTube.
