Now that 2019 has come and gone, I would like to take a moment to thank all of the clients, friends, and sponsors that help make it happen. The past year has been a great one in more ways than one. First, we fished more days than ever before and made a bunch of memories along the way. Second, we had bunch of notable catches. We caught so many mutton snapper over 10 pounds that I lost count. We caught 2 or 3 over 15 and the larges was 18 pounds. We also caught a 60 pound wahoo on 20 lb test spinning gear. Other great catches of grouper, kings, and were the gravy on top.
The end of the year was a bittersweet due to a mechanical issue that kept us tied to the dock for a couple of weeks. Following the breakdown we endured two weeks of relentless high winds and rain. Luckily, we were able to squeeze in some trips and even caught some nice fish both inshore as well as offshore.
January is off to a hot start and we’ve got a bunch of trips on the schedule. Sailfish have been pushing through even though conditions haven’t been optimum. I expect it will only get better and better as more fronts push through.
Lastly, I want to thank El Capitan Sports Center for hosting a great customer appreciation barbecue last month. I conducted a seminar on live bait fishing for the attendees and it was great. It is always nice to catch up with old friends as well as make a few new ones.
I have set a lot of goals for 2020 and although some are lofty, all are attainable. The coming year should be full of exciting fishing action as well as other events. The YouTube page has some new videos and will continue to grow. Remember to FOLLOW and LIKE the videos and page. You can also keep up with all of the action by following us in FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM.
Well, that is pretty much it for now.
